Countercultural Seminar with Rev. Dr. Gil Rendle
EPA&GNJ clergy are invited to attend another Cabinet-sponsored, special teaching event November 15—this one led by the Rev. Gil Rendle, preeminent author and EPA clergy member, to discuss his latest book, Countercultural: Subversive Resistance & the Neighborhood Congregation. This seminar will be at Cedarville UMC (1092 Laurelwood Rd Pottstown, PA 19465-7420), from 9 a.m. (8:30 gathering time) to 3 p.m. There may be CEUs available for participation.
Rendle, an internationally respected church consultant, writes and teaches about cultural change and adaptative leadership. After decades of anti-institutionalism, he asserts the enduring value of congregations and our need for them in our lives. But to thrive they need to fulfill their purpose by being countercultural.
