Feb 15, 22 and March 1 | 7 p.m – 8:30 p.m.
Facilitators: District Superintendent Rev. Glenn Conaway, and laity and clergy from the Coastal Plains Region
When was the last time you shared your faith with someone? The practice of sharing one's faith is key to living out the UMC mission: "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world." Throughout this three-session course, you will explore ways to connect with the community, build relationships and identify opportunities to share your faith story in word and action.
You will learn how to utilize Mission Insite to connect with your community, identify your community partners, and develop an understanding of your community's story. Then, we will share practical ways of engaging with civic organizations and public schools and how the use of technology can help us tell our stories. Finally, we will look at how to recognize opportunities to share our faith and how to have the confidence to take that important step. Before you are done with the course, you will select one of the practices shared and implement it!
This course is recommended for laity and clergy, hospitality teams, evangelistic committees, and disciples seeking to share their faith.
Registration closes one week before the course starts.
